Mark your calendars and stock up on energy drinks. The 48 Hour Film Project is returning to Buffalo for 2008! This year's event will take place the weekend of August 15 - 17th.
On Friday night, August 15th, teams of film-makers will be assigned a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialog. On Sunday night, 48 hours later, the bleary-eyed teams must turn in their completed short films. Visit the 48 Hour Film Project website for more information and to register your team. Last year 19 teams competed for Buffalo's inaugural year. This year promises to be even bigger.
Red Scream Films, the indie production company behind such films as FrightWorld, and Prison on the Psychotic Damned, is looking for production assistants. Their latest horror movie shoot runs August 3rd - 19th. This is a non paid gig. They will provide screen credits, meals, and if you are interning they will sign off of the proper paperwork.

Full Force Looking for Production Assistants
"Full Force", a film to be shot in Buffalo from September 25 - October 25, 2008, is looking for production assistance. Directed by John Hannon, the film follows the story of a determined young athlete trying to establish himself in the competitive world of Division 1 college hockey. Auditions have been held, but there may be some additional acting roles available. The David Dance Seeking Production Crew Members
Brave Lad Films LLC is looking to fill several positions for "The David Dance", an independent feature film to be shot in Western New York in March 2009. The shoot will run for 4 weeks. They are looking to fill the following positions:
